ICE’s international sales team Gene Brogowski and Ryan Coppola along with long time service manager Dave Bartel took on a one-week road trip through the United Kingdom with their exclusive distributor in Europe, SEGA Amusements. Over the course of the week in the UK the team visited over 40 FEC’s throughout the country. Ryan Coppola mentioned, “The week before IAAPA Europe is always a great learning experience with SEGA on the road in the UK. It gives us an opportunity to meet with the operators, catch up on their year, and find ways to continue to enhance their customer experience. ICE has always put emphasis into after sale service and having Dave Bartel with us to do game touch ups and updates is always a nice surprise for the operators too.” SEGA has been ICE’s exclusive distributor in Europe for over 12 years now. Overall, SEGA has had tremendous success over the years with ICE games such as Down the Clown, NBA Gametime, World Football Pro, and Whack N Win.
After spending a week with SEGA on the road in the UK, the team traveled to Amsterdam where the European IAAPA was held for three days. ICE exhibited their new kid’s basketball Double Dribble along with their new football game, Quarterback Pro for the first time at this show. Coppola mentioned, “Both games were extremely well received as there will always be a market for not only a kid’s basketball, but a two-player version with two player stations. The game is a small enough cabinet and the price per player station really makes the game a no brainer for any operator looking to revamp their kid’s basketball. On the other hand, Quarterback Pro showed really well considering this is an American football game. Given the rise in popularity of American football in certain European markets this game was a big hit.” ICE’s lead times right now are down to around 2 weeks and the company is excited to get both new games out into the European territories.
