It was a privilege for Dan and Ryan Coppola to participate in this year’s Sunrise Day Camp Carnival.
Sunrise Day Camp brings the joys of childhood to children with cancer, and the carnival is a special day that allows their siblings from across the greater NYC area to join in fun and memorable activities.
Before the carnival began, Dan and Ryan received an extensive tour of the Sunrise Day Camp grounds. From the treehouse to the pool, the pickleball and basketball courts, and the 3D computer lab, Sunrise offers a truly unique and enriching experience for children impacted by cancer.
At this year’s carnival, Dan and Ryan had the opportunity to volunteer at the Ring Toss game. Through our industry association, AAMA, Sunrise Day Camp has remained a meaningful and ongoing focus—a way for us to give back in a deeply impactful way.
Dan Coppola shared: “It was an incredibly touching day at Sunrise. To have the opportunity to spend an afternoon there was something I will not soon forget. To be able to engage with and have fun alongside children whom I would call heroes—I just can’t think of a better use of time. We thank Beth and the entire Sunrise staff and truly appreciate this wonderful experience.”
Their motto says it all: Sunrise Day Camp – where children with cancer find a new beginning every day.
