With one of the most anticipated movie releases of 2016 hitting box offices in July, Ghostbusters Arcade will be shipping April 15th! Ghostbusters is one of the most iconic and top earning movie licenses in the world. The third installment coincides with the release of the recent collaboration between the ICE and Play Mechanix teams. “We were able to take an iconic movie license and create a truly awesome video redemption experience for players of all ages. The two player, open air cabinet with 8 different movie scenes and an exciting Stay Puft marshmallow man bonus; combined with a glowing cabinet that looks like it belongs in the movie. Innovative Concepts In Entertainment (ICE) has announced that Zax Amusements will become the exclusive distributor of ICE product in Australia. The 2015 IAAPA Show in Orlando, Florida started off with a bang as the ICE and Play Mechanix teams took home the prestigious Brass Ring Award for Best New Product with their new hit Angry Birds Arcade. Awarded to the best new product in the amusement parks and attractions industry, the top award recognizes the year long efforts between the 2 partners, to bring Angry Birds Arcade to the marketplace. ICE’s Vice President of Sales Joe Coppola had high praises for the hard work that went into creating such a complex electro-mechanical spin on one of the world’s most famous touch screen apps. “We took a smash hit app, and incorporated a brilliantly designed sling shot mechanism that fires the Angry Bird ball at the 55″ touch screen monitor. This was a huge feat for the R&D teams with ICE and Play Mechanix and they truly delivered an amazing game play experience that stays true to the Angry Birds roots, yet ties in a electro-mechanical design that ICE is known for.”
Angry Birds Arcade, officially licensed from Rovio Entertainment LTD, is shipping now and with the upcoming release of the Angry Birds movie, ICE is urging customers to get their orders in now.
IAAPA preparations are in full swing and the annual Orlando based trade show shouldn’t disappoint attendees!
